WSH Act

A Safe & Healthy Workplace for All. — Ministry of Manpower

In compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, SPF's WSH management system and programmes are aimed at protecting employees' occupational health and safety at work through reducing work accidents and injuries and limiting employees' exposure to hazards at work.

The WSH Act requires workplaces to manage safety and health risks to individuals, employee or not, primarily through risk assessments and control/elimination measures. Even though uniformed officers are exempted from the WSH Act while on duty, SPF management has made the decision to comply with the requirements of the WSH Act for as long as they do not hinder police operations.

Besides employers, employees also have a role to play in WSH by following safe work procedures introduced in the workplace and not engaging in any unsafe act that may endanger him or others working around him.
